At dinner with my girls last night, we brushed on the topic of mixing business with pleasure. I know you’ve been tempted to!  The question is, did you? LOL I know I have been tempted, and knowing that my answer should be no. Somehow, when you let your libido talk you can convince yourself that its the right thing to do.

Yeah I know he’s hot, that’s the only reason you’re considering it. There is a “spark” or whatever you wanna call it. lol You may think that no one will notice or that it won’t have an affect on your work relationship. TRUST ME, it will ! That’s the reason why I decided to write this post. As we were talking at dinner, and noticed that some of my girls were completely oblivious to the consequences and would go along with it. Actually one of them, got herself in the hot mess of sleeping with a man she does business with, regularly. Poor girl, she still doesn’t think anything bad will happen.

So here you are a successful woman, people respect you because of your work ethic and you are contemplating sleeping with someone in the same industry as you, you coworker or your boss.  Here is the thing, everyone will know. Not only that but when they do find out, you will be ” *insert name* who slept with *insert name here*” . I have witnessed it so many times in the work place. Doesn’t matter how good you are at what you do after that, the name sticks.

I think it sucks quite frankly, that men don’t have to go through the same thing. It really does. The reality is though, you don’t want to compromise all your hard work and your work ethic over a fling.  Maybe you don’t care what other say, that’s cool too. However take it from me, (as I am watching my girl go through it right now) there is more harm done then good in this situation.
