I was inspired by a complete stranger this weekend. We were talking about our goals, and dreams. I told him about mine and he asked me “Why aren’t you living your goals right now?”  I didn’t have an answer. Then he said “If you think that your dream is going to come knocking at your door to find you, you are wrong. You need to go out there and get what you want. Make it happen ! ” As obvious as that sounds, clearly I was not waiting for my goals, and dreams to come knocking. However, what he said in those 5 minutes I met him really inspired me, as I was left thinking. I am not actively doing anything with this end goal of mine. I am not doing as much as I can to get closer, especially knowing that I want this with  all my heart.

Thank you for those words in that brief conversation. You ignited my spark to go out there, and make it happen. You will never know.

Has a stranger ever inspired you? How did it happen? What did they tell you to make you feel inspired?

Once while I was working, I was drawing some pose on a piece of paper of an idea I had to draw for someone. Then, someone came to buy something and I had to serve her. She noticed the piece of paper I had tossed on the side and was surprised. She said to me “You draw really well,! I was drawing really well myself, but I never took the classes at an Art and Design school. You should before you get old like me.” After what she said, I tought twice and decide to go learn graphic design. :)

I was driving near my home. I saw an older man with a cane and his dog picking up litter near the side of a busy road. I thought you don’t see that everyday. If that little old man could get out there and try to make the world a better place. What is stopping me?

Thank you for sharing Djina. Amazing that you had that moment, and were able to get inspired. I think we all have those moments sometimes but aren’t necessarily open to receiving the message. Best of luck to you !!! Let me know where I can see your drawings :-)

Linda, good question, did you feel inspired enough to try to make the world a better place? What did you do? Thank you for sharing, definitely made me think twice.

I do try to make the world a better place. I have volunteered my time to many charities on a regular basis. I also try to shine my light to the world in self less ways. Some ways I give back is saying hello to as many people as I can, opening a door for someone or letting someone in front of me on the highway. It just touched me that this older man who had limitations still felt it important to give and maybe I should be doing more.

That is really good. It goes to show that the little things do go a long way, if we all did those little things, we would all play our parts in making it a better place. Thank you for visiting the blog :-)
