Tuesday November 24th, Chiggy’s Touch Salon , located in Yorkville opened its doors for the VUDZ Virgin Indian Hair launch party. The event was overseen by many people including Thierry Lifestyle. Many fashionistas, bloggers and industry peers were present They had a cupcake girl, who was too cute the way she was handing out the cupcakes,  food and wine. People were able to get up close with the weave, see it for themselves as well as speak to the creator of the line Patience Chodokufa, and owner of Chiggy’s Touch Salon.  “After realizing the demand for quality, long lasting extensions, we set out to bring the absolute best” says Patience Chodokufa, owner and hair extension expert of Chiggy’s Touch Salon and VUDZ. “This lead to the creation of VUDZ. Our hair is the highest grade on the marketing-%100 pure Virgin Indian Hair. Longer, more volume, different colour – VUDZ gives the client a new take on hair.”

There were demonstrations on site with the weave so people could actually see the quality of the VUDZ Virgin Indian Hair. I heard they were also all sold out of their first shipment after this event.

They were giving away a grand prize of over $1000 of VUDZ Virgin Indian hair, and twenty five $25 gift certificates for the first 25 people at the party. What I really liked about the party was that it was all streamed on on Ustream, so you could partake in the event even if you weren’t there. I haven’t seen many events take this up as a marketing initiative. Hoping this is an idea that is hear to stay, in these social media days it is important to make everyone feel like they are “invited” although they may not be there in presence. All in all, the event was well put together, the company was great. The music was great as well.
