“We don’t quit. I don’t quit. Let’s seize this moment.” Barack Obama

Last night I watched Barack Obama speak at The State Of The Union, and I felt inspired. I am not even an American citizen and I was inspired. His words made me feel excited. I wasn’t sure for what. Then I heard those words and I knew why. How many times are we ready to quit when things seem hard, and we don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel? Whether you are American or not, whether you like Barack Obama or not (I am not sure why you wouldn’t), you can relate to it in some form. When I heard those words, it reinforced in me that I should never quit before attaining my goals, and making the most of every opportunity.

There are so many ways to describe what a soulmate is, I think everyone has their own definition. According to Wikipedia a soulmate is:

A soulmate is somebody with whom one has a feeling of deep and natural affinity, love, intimacy, sexuality, spirituality, and/or compatibility. A related concept is that of the twin flame or twin soul – which is thought to be the ultimate soulmate, the one and only other half of one’s soul, for which all souls are driven to find and join. However, not everyone who uses these terms intends them to carry such mystical connotations. Read more…

So STressed

A few weeks ago, after posting an article on stress, I received an email informing me about a new book coming out called So Stressed, by Drs. Beth Hamilton and Stephanie McClellan, whose book defines four stress types based on personality responses to stress and maps out clear and practical ways to relieve stress using relaxation methods, nutrition, exercise, and general lifestyle choices that are specific to each type.

I often feel stressed out as you may already know. I am always interested in finding ways to deal with it. We all know and experience the effects of stress but few of us know that there are many types of stress. What I found interesting about this article is that I had no idea there there were four different types of stress. I have included the article that was sent to me, for you to read. Once I receive the book, I will read it and tell you all about it. In the meantime read the article below and check out these 10 ways to De-Stress Anytime Anywhere by Drs. Beth Hamilton and Stephanie McClellan.

Everyone uses this sentence and throws it around like it actually makes sense. Took me a while to understand it, even after using it for a while.

Last night before I went to sleep, you consumed my thoughts, I couldn’t shake it. I am not sure why. Maybe you were thinking of me at the same time? I went to sleep and I dreamt of you, it seemed so real. I was so happy until… See in my dream, you came to town and called me out of the blue to ask to see me. I was so delighted, got all dressed up, met you for some drinks. You looked so handsome, you were happy. We still clicked, still connected, as usual. We laughed, we smiled, real smiles the kind that crinkle the side of your eye smile. I was happy like a child in a candy store, it doesn’t take much to make me happy. Somehow you always know how to make me happy.  In my dream, we sat side by side in this bar, as I leaned against your shoulder, while we talked about all the moments we missed as we were apart. I told you about all the great things happening in my life and you did the same. Read more…
