Last night was such a great time, most of all The Broken Heel Diaries, came out to dinner. We went to a place called Amore Trattoria on Yonge st. that I picked out randomly. The food was delicious, the jokes were pouring and two bottles of wine later we were all acquainted. Tamara, Sherlyn, Kimberly, Mary Felix, Shannon were all in the house, I had a wonderful time with you ladies. I love the mix of different personalities, together we make a great team. (Look out for their posts on the site, these ladies are all killin it !!!) It was so great to hear from everyone what the site meant to them, and of course share some broken heel moments.
As to tie the whole thing together, my best friend was coming to meet us, she wanted to catch a bite so I invited her along. I get a phone call from her saying “My car died, it stalled on the side of the road I don’t know what to do.” I immediately got worried because I know that she comes from far west, but I was relieved to find out her car broke down a few doors down from where we were. Talk about a broken heel moment ! All the girls were ready to get outside and push the car, it was very cute !
To make a long story short, her car broke down in front of a fine dining restaurant and by the grace of God, she had the owner come out and try to fix her car. He kept her car keys and told us to go back to Amore Trattoria finish eating and he would bring the keys. Long behold, this man in all his confidence, with his shoulders out, fly shoes, crisp suit comes over as though he owned the neighbourhood. He had his employees push her car to the parking lot and paid for it over night.
WOW ! Talk about luck, she could have stalled anywhere, on the highway or anywhere on the way there. Thank goodness she’s ok. Did I mention that the owner of the restaurant owns a spot that I have been dying to go to FOREVER ! lol I guess we’ll have to go try it out… I think its a sign, not sure what it is yet …. lol
Moral of the story, Broken Heel Moments happen to everyone at anytime
