One of our readers Dian aka Cocktail Deeva is taking part in Shopper’s Drug Mart – Weekend to end women’s cancers, which takes place September 11-12th, 2010. All the proceeds from this weekend will go to benefit the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. When I saw Dian tweet about this, I really wanted to support her and help her spread the word. Thousands of people will be out that weekend raising money for various cancers that affect women.

These efforts will help to assist in bringing an end and further research to breast cancer and gynecologic cancers, diseases that one in seven Canadian women will be diagnosed with in her lifetime. That is staggering, and we must do our part to help in any way we can.
