A few months back I dated a guy for a little while, he was alright at first. The more things kept going, the more his story didn’t add up. My instinct was that there was more below the surface that he wasn’t revealing.  I just felt it. When I did tell him about what I thought, he got fairly aggressive and defensive. I let it go, but always knowing in the back of my mind that there was something peculiar about him.

Although I knew him for a little while, I still felt like I didn’t know him. He even wore a wedding ring on his ring finger, and when I asked him about it, he said it was just there by accident. YEAH RIGHT  ! *queue eye rolling*

One day I just couldn’t take it anymore, so I told him that I simply wasn’t interested in entertaining a friendship with someone who I felt was lying to me or keeping things from me. I explained to him that I didn’t feel that was the base of any relationship. Fuming AGAIN, he tried to make me believe that the hunch I had was all in my head. To make a long story long, I wasn’t wrong. He is still in denial and very defensive so he gets the PERMANENT EYE ROLLING from me.

Earlier this week he messaged me and asked me if I missed him. Umm ya no, sorry.  I guess his guilty conscious was kicking in because he felt the need to tell me that he was “trying to learn how to be a good guy” and “meeting good women like you make me a better person just by being around you.”  Can you smell the eye rolling coming in.

How can you say that you are “trying to learn” how to be a good guy. In my eyes you either are or you aren’t. For starters,you may want to learn how to keep it real with yourself, and the people who enter your life. That might make things a bit easier and make you a bit more credible to others. Secondly, what do you mean that meeting good women rubs off on you. Please don’t fool yourself into thinking that meeting other “good” women will somehow rub off on you and make you a good guy. If that’s what you are waiting on to be a “new” man, GOOD LUCK !

Anyway, all I can say to this is ARE YOU SERIOUS ?!

P.S. I know he is reading this, hopefully it will make him see how ridiculous he is in saying these things.
