Arrived in the “Concrete Jungle” of NYC yesterday and believe it or not this is just a glimpse, of my first day. It was most random but most fun. I love just going with the flow of things. The only thing I knew I had to do was attend the Line Knitwear show, which was FABULOUS btw. I will make a whole post about it. This is just to sum up the randomness of my trip so far, day 1. The key images to sum it up.  The pic above was taken on the rooftop of a spot called 230 Fifth, my friend took me there so I could see the whole skyline. It was beautiful, chilly, but lovely. They even had robes. (I will post about the spot later)

My crazy friends and I then took to the streets and just walked, and walked and walked. I loved that one of my friends who is now moving over to NYC took me to all his spots. They were like hidden gems, to me anyway, since I always come to NYC but had never seen these things.

By now you know I have a think for good music, walking down Prince with my friends we hear this crazy good house music, turn to my left and see this display. Thought it was so clever we purchased some music – NATURALLY. I will upload when I return.

Keep on walking down the street, to then be amazed by this artist – Mathew. Who I shall make a whole post about. He is amazing and has his gallery set up outside, across the street from Intermix. I am going back today to get a custom piece for myself and some friends.

This was the name of his gallery

His art

Across the street from Mathew’s gallery and beside Intermix, is this building.  Mathew the artist – told us that this was the building where Ghost (the movie) was filmed.

More walking down Prince Street

This was cute had to take a pic :-) It was in the window of a store.

Someone then told us there was a fashion show outside of the Chanel store. We headed there and were able to stand outside and watch people arriving, but there was no way to actually go inside :-( Cool Nonetheless.

At this point I am starving lol We have been walking for what seems like 2hrs. Fun times but HUNGRY ! So my friend takes me to his fav. Italian spot called Pepe Rosso. I took a pic of it but it didn’t come out well. I am going to go back today and take more. I love it because it probably only seats like 10 ppl at a time, very small and intimate. Food is delicious !

So that sums up day 1, gonna go back to Prince St. tonight for Fashion Night out as most of the stores are in and around that area.

Until next time :-)
