The expression “just like a kid in a candy store” couldn’t have rang truer than when I walked into Dylan’s Candy Bar in NYC during Fashion Night Out. We were across the street partying it up, having a grand time, when outside the window I spotted the words CANDY BAR and I was sold. I grabbed my friend and we jetted across the street. I was in heaven. All kinds of candy, old candy from your childhood you forgot about, new candy, new versions of stuff, most importantly it was so colourful. It felt like we had walked into Willie Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. As part of Fashion’s Night Out, Dylan’s Candy Bar was also participating in the festivities, they had a DJ in the store and were serving martinis, custom candy drinks. YUMMY !

The only weird thing was there was tons of kids in the store, while drinks were being served. Oh well ! We took a few pics before being told were not allowed, bought tons of candy to continue our Fashion Night Out mission.

Later on I found out that Dylan Lauren is actually the daughter of Ralph Lauren and the CEO of Dylan’s Candy Bar. I knew they sold some of the selections at Holts but seeing this store was something else. If you are ever in NYC make sure to check it out for yourself.
