Prints are some of the few colour spurts in my otherwise mono wardrobe. I lean towards graphic concepts, but soft prints are much more romantic. Light, flimsy prints complement seasons in bloom and they’re timeless. If you wear soft prints during the colder part of spring, offset them with blacks and navy blues. If it’s summer, you don’t need much else. Either way, it’s one of the most versatile patterns in fashion.

You can make a statement in prints as seen in Naeem Khan’s fall 2011 collection. However, the prints at Isaac Mizrahi showcase the hand of a true colour master. If it’s romance you’re after, opt for pale prints like that of Reed Krakoff. Or maybe you’re a mix of all three. Heide Lindgren was adorable in a Naeem Khan mini dress, but Rachel Roy was radiant mixing prints in a way only a seasoned pro can.
