Lancôme is heavenly. Their latest Fall 2011 collection is wonderfully designed by the lovely Aaron de Mey, who in each piece pays tribute to the sophistication of the Parisian woman. When I received the package from Lancôme, I was so impressed with the detailing of each product. Aaron de Mey does a superb job of capturing the essence of ultimate femininity and the desire to feel gorgeous.
All of the products from this collection truly won me over and believe you me, I’m not easily impressed by makeup anymore.
Many products boast on things that they can’t deliver, or offer a pretty packaging with zero results. I was happy to see this wasn’t the case with this line. Each piece exceeded my expectations in quality.
1. Le French Touch Absolu Lip Colour $40
It’s often hard for me to find a lipstick color that matches my darker skin tone, and one that I am happy with. After trying – Le French Touch Absolu Lip Colour, I was in heaven. I couldn’t stop bragging about it. Other than the lovely gold case it comes in, it’s long lasting color goes on perfectly giving the right moisture your lips need.
2. Hypnôse Drama Mascara $31
Mascara and I have a long battle and I’m always out to find which mascara delivers what it promises. I literally had 6 mascaras in my makeup case before I got this one. As soon as I tried on Hypnôse Drama Mascara I threw them all away. Maybe its the way the brush is designed, or the way the mascara doesn’t clump but goes on with the right amount of thickness -I was all over it. It gave me a dramatic effect that no other mascara had previously given me. It looks like I’m wearing lash extensions!
3. Maison Lancôme Blush $48
The Maison Lancôme Blush is great as well, although I don’t wear blush much so now Jess is loving it!
4. Les Oeillades Eyeshadow and Brow Compact Quad $54
Finding the right brow filling powder can be challenging. I’m not the most makeup savvy person to begin with, but I want makeup to deliver with no surprises. Les Oeillades Eyeshadow and Brow Compact Quad offers great brow powders with a few eye shadows. The texture of the powder is perfect. It goes on so smoothly, kinda like a cream, making your skin look seamless without creasing or that dry powder look.
5. Le Vernis Nail Polish. – Rouge Saint Honoré $16
Loving the Le Vernis Nail Polish. – Rouge Saint Honoré the color is amazing and I love that it matches the lipstick. I have been on a red tangent lately.
Anywho – enough make up talk from me. I LOVE this collection. Thank you Lancôme for the great additions to my makeup case (which by the way is now filled with more Lancôme than anything else!)
