As women we always have an opinion, not only on what other women are wearing but of course what men are wearing. Whether he is a handsome man in a suit we see on the subway or an average Joe walking down the street in sweats, we are always looking them up and down to see what they are wearing. Then of course our own lover, fiancé, boyfriend, beau, whatever his stature, has to always look his best, not just for our own eye candy but for the world to see what a handsome catch we have found.

But wait… what if this male companion of ours has no sense of style what so ever!? Well I have an idea that can help:

How do I tell him not to wear that ugly white t-shirt and jeans without sounding like a controlling crazy?

Here’s a subtle, yet effective approach: point out an outfit you like in a menswear mag, boost his ego a little bit, tell him how amazing he would look in it. Even buying little things for his wardrobe. And compliments, compliments, compliments!

Men love them just as much as women do and especially from THEIR woman. Get him to take an interest in his clothing but never put down what he is wearing. Make him feel good! Blunt and harsh comments will only discourage him and then you’re done for. Leave a couple magazines in the bathroom, I bet he’ll pick up a few things!

Whatever you do, NEVER try and change him into something or someone he’s not. If you go too far with this you will never succeed in adjusting his attire. Test these options and more on that man of yours and you may get a more positive outcome than you would have expected.
