The year 2011 is four measly weeks away from coming to a close. What else is there to do but look back on the last 11 months?

As we secure our first year of being a team at BHD I can’t help but smile. Through trials and tribulations we have grown. And we look forward to the new adventures as we celebrate our birthday. The beautiful things about the women I work with on the executive team are that no one, and seriously not one of us, are push-over’s. You may think “That must make for some interesting meetings” and yes, of course it does. And I’ll admit, I may or may not have been referred to as a certain German dictator at one point… But we all have a common vision which brings us back and makes us strong.

Since our communication is completely open and everyone’s ideas are considered there is nothing we feel we can’t do. I encourage this in everyone’s relationships, whether business or personal. I truly believe there is no such thing as being too honest. And I subscribe to the idea:

Have no regrets, because in that moment, it was exactly what you wanted.

What we have to look forward to are our dreams and aspirations. Whatever they may be, reach for them. There is no perfection without the process of getting there and we learn the most this way. Enjoy the journey for what it is, take every little thing you can from it, and don’t let anything – man, woman, career, money – stop you.

And so, I must look back on all of the people; closest friends, contributors, and business colleagues that BHD has introduced to my life. I would not be anywhere without all of you. Let us ring in this joyful season of whatever holiday you may or may not celebrate and close out 2011 with a BANG! Literally or figuratively, I’m all for both.
