This past year has been a hell of a ride if I may say so. It was the best and the worst of times as I had known it. We launched BHD, had our first BHD gifting lounge and I traveled to Egypt. But also, and probably the hardest, was seeing the end of an Era at my 9-5 which I had been working at for 7 years. All of this has me in deep reflection on a big question: What’s next? If I look back at the past 7 years, it’s been vitally influential on the woman I am today.

As I get ready to embark in this phase of BHD and a newly full-time entrepreneur, the path is clear. That’s a bit of the scary part. In every new beginning of a journey, you must first believe you can and look at the past only to see what the lessons were, never in regret.

Three main things stand out as I reflect:

Better Yourself

There is always room for improvement. If you don’t recognize your faults and weaknesses, you will find it difficult to move past your boundaries.

Always Create

No one wants to be average. Challenge yourself to create with a vengeance, to the maximum. As though your life depended on it. Find others who share the same beliefs.

Forgive & Get Back Up

You’re going to fail at some point, that’s a fact. Here are some words my mentor shares with me whenever I am hard on myself:

“When you fail, fail big – forgive. Forgive the people around you, most importantly forgive yourself.”
