I had the pleasure of attending Chapters Indigo’s Spring & Summer 2012 Preview. I know you’re asking, “why is the fitness editor attending a book & home accessories launch?” Well if you didn’t know I’m a bookworm through and through. I’ve always got my nose stuck in a book during my subway commute and host a book club once a month. My future hubby and I will be buying a new house after the wedding this year so I’ve always got my eye out for beautiful things.

First Off Side Note: The Chapter Indigo offices smell amazing. I walked into the foyer and wanted to curl up on the ground in a blanket and nap. That’s how amazing they smell.

Ok, back on track. We were greeted with the warmest blues and the whitest whites. Even before Heather Reisman (Founder & CEO) explained they were inspired by Greece I already had felt transported back to my 2007 vacation to Santorini, Ios & Mykonos. See below for gorgeous items that I can’t wait to get my hands on.

I also snapped some pics for our BHD Mommies To Be or Mommies. Check out the cuteness. Chapters is really focused on organic products where possible in their baby gift department.

Oh and please note that if you’re still considering them as just a bookstore take another look. As they continue to expand their home and around the table options as well as gift ideas they are viewing themselves as a cultural department store. I like it. I’ll be back for more favourite picks for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Backyard BBQ fun but just can’t bring myself to share so far in advance of the snow melting!
