As a little girl I grew up listening to Whitney, my mother introduced me to her. Through my life Whitney was there through all of my life’s moments. I will always remember her as the soundtrack to my memories, with my mother and my family.
After watching the Grammy’s, which I’m sure we can agree left much to be desired in the Whitney department.
I also understand that it must have been difficult for everyone to coordinate a large scale tribute within that time. Nevertheless, Jennifer Hudson’s song left me wanting for more Whitney. I was looking for a mixtape but couldn’t find one but found a few playlists. While these don’t have ALL the songs I wanted I thought it was better than no Whitney mixtape. I am sure we’ve yet to see the amount of tribute mixes that will start to pour in.
So much is to be said for this great loss. For the moment, let the music speak. Our prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time.
