My name is Maryfelix, I am on a road to self-discovery and acceptance. I've recently awakened from a dormant stage in my life and have found that I can be as strong and brave as I let myself be. Working a full-time job, taking care of a family and pursuing my dream to help the voiceless in this world that fall victim to all sorts of injustice and inequalities is no more but a mere glimpse into what makes me who I am. Fighting consistent bouts of depression and struggling with inner demons can make my path a dark one at times but with the Strength and Courage my two daughters have given me to get through ANYTHING I am here to persevere and build a mountain from my grain of sand so that I can proudly say "I did it, I raised two happy, dependent, selfless women." This is my biggest and most challenging goals in life, the rest...bring it, I'm ready.
I originally posted this column written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio on my Tumblr blog Mafa’s World and I loved it so much that I’d like to share it again here with all of you. Make sure you read right through the end and please share these life lessons with others.

Even when I was at my worst though I knew that I was becoming a better and stronger woman in the process, ladies we are capable of withstanding more blows then we are given credit for. Sometimes an emotional and mental blow can weigh and hurt a ton more then a …
Now I’ve never been shy about the fact that I would be all up for going under the knife for the sake of vanity. I had previously written a post on my site about this that I would like to share with the BHD family. I would love to hear what you guys have to say about this. Here is the post (BTW- this was supposed to be part of my 12 days of Christmas wishlist):
Day #6:
OK so I had to change the name up a bit considering that Christmas …
A crib that turns into a toddler bed, then into chairs? You bet. This furniture will save you a few extra dollars as your baby grows; one less thing for you to lose sleep over.
CNN conducted a modern-day doll study on children’s racial beliefs, attitudes and preferences. Researchers found black and white children are biased toward lighter skin. The test was designed to re-create the landmark Doll Test conducted in 1947. Check it out.
Now here is my question. What are we as parents supposed to do with this information? I had mixed feelings watching this and other clips from these interviews. This is nothing new, there are no new findings, its been the same test for …
