By Vivian Diller Ph.D. with Jill Muir-Sukenick Ph.D

Firstly Happy International Women’s Day to all of you women reading the blog. I received this article today, from the authors of “Face It What Women Really Feel as Their Looks Change” Vivian Diller Ph.D. with Jill Muir-Sukenick Ph.D. I am looking forward to reading the book. This is such a relevant issue that I face as I get older, I am 28years old and I am seeing changes in my body and the way that I look. My girlfriends and I often speak about this, and try to figure out how we deal emotionally with our appearances changing. Can’t wait to see what the book has to say about this. For now check out this amazing article below with tips to change how you look and feel about beauty.

#1 New York Times Bestseller

I have over a dozen books to read for review, I can never commit to just one. Somehow this one jumped at me this weekend, I picked it up and read it cover to cover. This is a great book, and even better book if you are a Christian woman. Although you may not be of Christian belief or religious at all, there are some very great points in this book that ever woman can draw from. Joyce Meyer shares with us, her journey and broken heel moments to finding herself, and being the confident woman she is. I in my opinion the best part of the book, that everyone can relate to is below, the 7 secrets of a confident woman. Read more →

I read this book in 24hrs and enjoyed it !

Sunday night, I went to check for some mail, hadn’t done so in a long time. To my surprise I had tons of new books waiting for me. I was confused as to what I should read first. I started with Damaged by Kia Dupree.
I couldn’t put the book down, although it was “street lit” I enjoyed every page of the book. I identified with the main character Camille Logan, as we watched her persevere through difficult times. I recall the times in my life where I walked a lone and felt that no one was there to care for me. I remember being so upset and sad in my teenage days that the tears couldn’t come down. Camille the main character is tormented by sexual abuse from her foster father, falling in love with a street king, trying to make the best of her life. She then finds herself in prostitution at a young age and caught up in the “street life”. This story I am sure is the story of a lot of youth in America, that triumph despite their hurdles. I admired the character for her innocence, although she never felt love from anyone, she strives to find it, and finally discovers it in a street king. I also loved the way the book was written, the characters were described so vividly that you felt as though you knew them and could seem them.
