Krissy asked me if I would like to join the Broken Heel Diaries family to contribute to the blog. I couldn’t be more honoured to share my experiences from my life. My life has been nothing but boring more action packed. I have had my share of sadness, regrets, failures and fears to deal with. All that I have overcome to make my life’s foundation much stronger. Which I am proud to say is my biggest accomplishment.
I am in my thirties and single. I have learned to accept that love hasn’t found me yet. It’s better to be ready for love than to experience the dark side of it. I have seen a lot of terrible relationships within my family and friends. I respect myself enough to only accept the light of love. It’s empowering to know what you want when it comes to love. They also cared. When there was no one else around, they cared, they shared, they loved. Not because they had to, but simply because they wanted to. For that I will always be grateful. Who are they? They are my friends, my guy friends, my girl friends, my old friends, my new friends. I don’t know where I would be if it weren’t for them. I probably would not be sitting here writing this blog.
Many times in my life, I have walked and stood alone, physically there was no one around. I believe that to help me carry the burden and the weight of the pain, someone has always presented themselves to walk with me. Every time I sat down and wondered how I was going to make it, someone helped me up. Always at the moment when I thought there was no one who cared, no one to comfort me, they were always on time.
As you may have noticed by now, broken heel moments like broken heels are reparable. What I have noticed when encountering broken heel moments is that you can be better prepared to face them if you have certain key rules down pact. With the new year around the corner, I decided to create some rules that we can all refer to when faced with broken heel moments.
I hope they are able to help, even if a little, please let me know your thoughts !!!!!!!!
1. Remember to love and be loving at all times, NO MATTER WHAT, even when (especially when) it hurts. If you keep this in mind when facing hardships, I guarantee you they will seem less bigger than they really are.

I had the pleasure to interview Amerie, we spoke on her new upcoming album “In Love & War” in stores November 3rd & she event touched a bit on Broken Heel Moments of her own.
Let’s get into it !
BHD: Hi Amerie, how are you today? I am so excited to about the upcoming album and can’t wait to share with you The Broken Heel Diaries. “In Love & War” is your 4th studio album and your first album on Def Jam records. Welcome back !
Amerie: Thank you, I am glad to be back !
BHD: “Why R U?” Is the title of your first single on this album? The lyrics seem to depict a strong woman torn between her emotions of staying in a love relationship she knows has expired. How can you relate to this song?
Amerie: I really wanted to show in this song the different faces of people’s experiences. Most of the material on the album are things I have experienced in the past, things my friends have exprienced in the past. That’s why people will be able to relate to the overall content of this album. So many of my friends & I sit down and talk and go through the same issues. Less of a story and more of a moment, where you are at that particular time in your life. We all can relate to the material on the album. We’ve all been through it.
