Male models. While we’re sure some of you might snuff at the idea of dating one, we understand – but there’s no harm in looking, right? We thought we might give you a chance to meet some of the runway’s hottest male models right now, who all share something in common- they’re all Canadian! Cue eye candy:

Yes, we know he’s everything. But this Montreal-born looker knocked one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood –Halle Berry – up!

This 20-year old Calgary Canuk burst onto the scene as the face of Abercrombie & Fitch and soon after, Y-3 and Barney’s New York followed suit.

Godfrey Gao

Godfrey is part of the new wave of Asian models taking over the industry. Since landing the Spring/Summer 2011 campaign with Louis Vuitton, he’s been dubbed the world’s first Asian Male Supermodel.

Tall, Filipino and one of the beautiful faces of Givenchy, Paolo is a Toronto-based model who created a stir by posing in a nude photo that appeared in Vogue Paris. Watch out Godfrey Gao!

Rick Genest (aka Zombie Boy)

Rick’s success is not bad for a guy spotted by super stylist Nicola Formichetti. While it’s true that his tattooed-up appearance looks intimidating at first glance, but his mug has landed spreads in GQ Style, Vogue Hommes Japan and in Lady Gaga’s Born This Way video.

Taylor may look like a European Adonis, but listen to him speak and he’s as Canadian as they come. As it stands, he’s one of the high-paid male models in the industry, a big feat for most models, period.

Mat Gordon has done campaigns with everyone from Pringle of Scotland to H&M. Quite possibly one of the most diverse models on the lot, Mat’s mischievous stare and brooding dark features are what gets girls like us (or at least me) every time.

Never mind the Emo long hair and clean-shaven chin, when Marcel is about to hit the runway the first thing he does is start “thinking about beer” (how Canadian is that). When he’s not on the runway, he’s all about death metal concerts, sweat shirts and books.

Much like Gabriel, he’s one of the older guys in the lot, though since starting about 10 years ago, he has been spotted in campaigns for Armani, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein. These days he’s slowed down with the modeling and settled down to a life of marriage with his long time sweetheart.

For the ladies who like ‘em red and dashing, feast your eyes on one of the most handsome men in the industry. When we say this, it’s not just the look, but the aura. We could be wrong, but there’s something about this lad that looks like he holds doors; the nice guy we all know we could use more of those in our lives.

The Brits know how to wear a hat. Not just any hat, but those elaborate, highly embellished pieces that sit on top of your head with a life of its own. When thinking of hats, Philip Treacy immediately comes to mind- the milliner made famous for his creations for the late Isabella Blow and more recently, Princess Beatrice for the royal wedding and even Lady Gaga.

Hats aren’t only for a day on the green however, popular styles for summer 2011 include felt, floppy, boater, messenger and classic fedora hats. The trick is to wear your hat with all the confidence you can muster! They’re perfect to top off a simple outfit and if you can’t afford the more lavish styles, do it yourself. Make a crafter-noon of it and buy some feathers, fishnet and glue to create your own unique masterpiece.

Lady Gaga X MAC Save Lives One Lipstick at a Time

If you thought Gaga was everywhere now, you’d be wrong- believe it or not Mother Monster is now saving lives. Yes, you heard right! Thanks to an initiative between M.A.C Cosmetics and Lady Gaga herself, they will be using the power of her ‘Little Monster’ followers to spread the word and educate the world about HIV/AIDS.

It all began with the MAC AIDS Fund back in 1994, where it was decided that 100% of the proceeds from their infamous Viva Glam red lipstick would go directly to the fund and into the pockets of HIV/AIDS sufferers. Since then they have made over $218 million and Lady Gaga is now the new face of the line and promoting her charity shade, nude.

“I always say I don’t want to make money,” Gaga said in a television interview, appropriately wearing a dress made of condoms. “I want to make a difference… 100% of the money made selling these lipsticks goes to the MAC AIDS Fund and goes to saving lives around the world.”

So how can you join the movement?

1. Head to your nearest MAC store or stockist and pick up the gorgeous milky-beige shade of Gaga lipstick or lipglass (only $14.50!) and get a nice fuzzy feeling you’re really helping out someone in need.

2. Go to VivaGlam.com and click ‘join now’, follow the instructions then upload an image of yourself.

3. If you have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can start sharing Viva Glam messages to inform and inspire your peers. The more you promote the initiative, the bigger your image will appear on the site and others can see all your efforts.

In addition to this, Lady Gaga’s friend and stylist, Nicola Formichetti will also create a couture outfit for her composed of all Viva Glam fans images from the site. So your pretty face could very well be on her dress!

Fashion – 10 Tastemakers you should know

Either you love them or hate them, but one thing’s for sure – their styles are always copied. Be it eye shadow, hair colour, lipstick shade or an outfit, these ladies are on our radar for their boundary-pushing sense of individual style.

1) Bijok, Iceland-born singer/songwriter is known for her eccentric outfits, but her defining moment was the infamous swan dress she wore to the Oscars.

2) Grace Jones, Jamaican-born model/singer who set dark-skinned beauties with close-cut hair into the spotlight.

3) Katy Perry, California native who despite her re-defined ‘Audrey Hepburn’ style, she was once cheesy champ with her half-dress/suit outfits.

4) Ke$ha, another California native who seems determine to smuggle her good looks in trailer park trash. She’s not the most original, but we admire her tenacity.

5) Lady Gaga needs no introduction. Taking her inspiration from Grace Jones and the old David Bowie, you know you’ve made it when Vogue recommends you.

6) New York rapper Lil Kim might be mad at a certain person on this list for not paying homage, but we know she paved the way for ludicrous wigs and outfits that border on bad taste. We still love you Lil’ Kim. * Especially in this video.

7) Nicki Minaj another New York rapper with multiple personalities and outfits to go with them.

8) Paloma Faith, an eclectic British singer with a doo-wop style. Her flaming red hair and doll-features can pull off any look.

9) Róisín Murphy, another British-based singer who, unknown to many, carried Gaga’s style while the latter became the sensation she is today. Murphy has traded in her eccentric style for a baby and more subtle style of dress. But don’t be surprised if she brings it back a second time around.

10) Shingai Shoniwa, the voice of the UK-rock band The Noisettes, Shoniwa’s everyday wear is just as theatrical as her onstage persona.

Last night, my sweetest monster Jess and I, went to check out Lady Gaga. Jess had seen a Gaga show before and it was my first time. Can I say OMGEE!!!

If you’ve wondered if Lady Gaga has talent, she’s no joke. Her vocals are on point, her dancing is BANANAS and her body is BANGING ! Just saying. There were a few things that caught me off guard, not gonna lie, but overall it was a great show.

What made the show even better was the performance by 10-year-old Maria Aragon with Lady Gaga. It almost made me tear up, she was a superstar on stage.
