Sade 3

Music has a way of healing my pain.  Earlier this week, I was sent an advanced copy of this album LOVE IT. Please make sure to go purchase it next week when it is in stores. I will be buying a copy. There surely isn’t anymore music that touches your soul, like Sade. When I heard the album, I loved all the songs but was particularly moved by a song called “In Another Time”. I felt it was speaking to me directly, regarding my pain, regarding the sadness that I carry with me.  I can’t even highlight a specific lyric that I like the most, THE WHOLE SONG, sings for me.  A clip of the song is below as well as the lyrics. Enjoy ! Read more…

The lyrics are very deep and tell the story of someone who has gone to war with love, has lost the battle but hasn’t given up.

My fav. part of the songs is this one, I almost feel that she is speaking on my behalf.

But I’m still alive
Still looking for the life
The endless pool on the other side
It’s a wild wild west
I’m doing my best

I’m at the borderline of my faith,
I’m at the hinterland of my devotion
In the frontline of this battle of mine
But I’m still alive

Here is the video:
